Privacy Policy — Made by Parke

This Privacy Policy explains how Made by Parke (“Made by Parke,” “I,” “me,” or “my”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit madebyparke.com (the “Site”), submit the contact form, or sign up for the email newsletter. It works alongside the Terms and Conditions, which govern use of the Site and any client engagement.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information I Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Contact form. When you submit the contact form, I collect whatever you provide — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message (which may include details about your project, budget, or timeline).
- Newsletter signup. If you subscribe, I collect your email address and, if the signup form asks for it, your name.
Information collected automatically:
- Analytics data. Like most websites, the Site uses analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or a similar service) that automatically collect information about your visit — pages viewed, time on site, device and browser type, approximate location (based on IP address), and how you arrived at the Site. This is collected through standard analytics cookies, described in Section 3.
I don’t currently collect payment information through the Site, since online payments aren’t offered there.
2. How I Use Your Information
I use the information above to:
- respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form and follow up about potential projects;
- send newsletter emails to subscribers, if you’ve opted in;
- understand how visitors use the Site, so I can improve its content, design, and performance;
- maintain the security of the Site and prevent abuse (spam, fraud, unauthorized access);
- comply with legal obligations, if applicable.
I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
3. Cookies & Analytics
The Site uses standard analytics cookies to understand traffic and usage patterns. These cookies don’t collect sensitive personal information and are used in aggregate to see how the Site is performing.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you do, some parts of the Site may not function exactly as intended, but you’ll still be able to browse and use the contact form.
4. Newsletter Emails
If you sign up for the newsletter, I’ll send you emails related to Made by Parke’s work, updates, and occasional marketing content. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email hello@madebyparke.com directly to be removed. Newsletter emails are typically sent through a third-party email service provider (such as Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or similar), which processes your email address on my behalf under its own security and privacy practices.
5. How Information Is Shared
I don’t sell or rent your personal information. I may share it in limited circumstances:
- Service providers. With third-party tools that help operate the Site or send communications — for example, a website host, an analytics provider, and an email newsletter platform. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function and are not authorized to use it for their own purposes.
- Legal reasons. If required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or if necessary to protect my rights, safety, or property, or that of others.
- Business changes. If Made by Parke’s business is restructured, sold, or transferred (for example, if it becomes an LLC or is acquired), your information may be transferred as part of that transition, subject to this policy or an updated version of it.
6. Data Retention
I keep contact form submissions and newsletter subscriber information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain our business relationship, or as required for legitimate business or legal purposes — and I delete or anonymize it when it’s no longer needed for those purposes. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7).
7. Your Choices & Rights
Regardless of where you’re located, you can:
- Unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time using the link in any email.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of the personal information I hold about you by emailing hello@madebyparke.com.
- Opt out of analytics tracking using your browser’s cookie settings or a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.
I’ll respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe. I may need to verify your identity before making changes to protect against fraudulent requests.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Site isn’t directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, please contact me and I’ll delete it.
9. Security
I take reasonable steps to protect the information collected through the Site, including relying on reputable third-party providers with their own security practices for hosting, analytics, and email delivery. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and I can’t guarantee absolute security of information you send through the Site or email.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, social media profiles or portfolio pieces hosted elsewhere). This Privacy Policy doesn’t apply to those sites, and I’m not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their own policies before providing information to them.
11. Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Site, applicable law, or how information is collected and used. When I do, I’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
